Poor Lid Seal

This is a very Elegant , well built Pot. However the Lid is where I've got to question the design. There are three casting dimples on the sealing surface not allowing the lid to seal tight, flat surface to flat surface, allowing steam to pre-vent. I was expecting a lid to pot metal to metal seal through the full circumference of the lid lip. Sadly I had to return as I wouldn't be happy overall with the complete unit as I'd be losing moisture prematurely at lower temperatures. If the lid seal was machined flat this would definitely be a 5 Gold Star product! Sadly I had to return this Pot. I purchased it as a Gift.

I love my new Lagostina!

I bought this to replace another one I had from a different maker. I love it. It's beautiful, and it goes from stove top to oven and to the table. This is a small size, so it's still easy to lift. The bigger size is very heavy but yet, very nice as well. Lagostina is very well made and the price is right.

A: No seasoning is required for these pots. They wash very easily. Just soak in soapy water if you cook a roast or chicken. These are excellent quality pots.

Q: Hi, I bought Lagostina 7 qt enamelled cast iron Casserole and on the box stating: Oven 26 C - 500 F but on the label inside that stating: Oven 204 C - 400 F. My question is: which information is correct??

A: Hi, you can use this Dutch oven on electric, gas or induction cooking. I love making stews and beans in the oven. It’s great for searing your meat on the stovetop before placing it on the oven for roasting. It’s a pot that will last you a lifetime if you care for it properly. Enjoy!

Our product meets the current standards for safety and quality as tested by both domestic and international regulatory agencies. The product is also lead, cadmium and pfoa free. Hope this helps.
