Sturdy lock but.... inadequate mounting hardware.

This lock works great in all weather but , the included mounting bracket is too small and weak to hold the weight of the lock to the bicycle frame. Like Dollar Store junk. The bracket was broken in a few weeks. There after I hung the lock off my handle bars when not in use and then found that the plastic coating started to split from resting on the bars. It is only a little bit over the size of a Super Cycle or CCM brand lock.

Q: On their website, Kryptonite uses a security scale of 1 to 10. What level would this lock be?

A: This U-Lock seems to be the most secure available at Canadian Tire, but on the Kryptonite scale I believe it would be ranked as mid level, 6 or so. Mainly because the shackle is thick-ish at 14mm, it only locks on one side of the shackle, and the disk detainer core is moderately pick resistant.

Q: Does the lock come with the Flex Frame mount to accommodate larger bike frames? This is necessary to install the the mount that will hold the lock on the bike.

Q: Oversized or not? I'm confused as the title says "oversized" but the packaging in the photo doesn't, and one reviewer says it's too small which doesn't make sense. Is this oversize or small or regular U-lock?
