The Kreg® Easy-Set Pocket-Hole Drill Bit with Step Collar and Gauge/Wrench is the same stepped bit that comes with 300-, 500o-, and 700-Series Kreg Pocket-Hole Jigs. This bit works with materials from 1⁄2" to 1 1⁄2" thick, and features engraved markings for 1/2", 3/4", 1 1/2", along with the matching Easy-Set Stop Collar. The Material Thickness Gauge allows you to easily determine material thickness (1/2", 3/4", 1 1/2") easily, too. A 1/4" hex-shank fits all standard quick-change chucks. Q: What gauge is the drill bit itself? The ad doesn't seem to say. Does the drill collar work with any drill bit? Or is it proprietary to this particular drill bit/ brand? I need to drill 400 holes 1 1/4" deep on a 5/8" drill bit.
8 months agoA: The collar is optimized to be used with our Kreg drill bit but will fit any standard 3/8” drill bit.
