Kraus Oletto™ Pull Down Kitchen Faucet, Chrome

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am an avid DIYer, and have installed many faucets in multiple homes I’ve lived in, so I am not a novice when it comes to this kind of task. I also am familiar with the Kraus brand, I recently installed a Kraus faucet in one of my bathrooms. I have come to know Kraus as a quality faucet and fixture maker, and I usually look at their products before anyone else’s when I am shopping for my next project. This kitchen faucet is exactly the quality I would have expected from Kraus. It is absolutely beautiful. I was actually expecting a pot filler, but they sent me this faucet instead. Maybe they ran out of the filler? It worked out fine for me, though, because I haven’t yet run the plumbing for a pot filler in my kitchen. So happy accident I guess! The color is called Antique Champagne Bronze, and it is the most pleasing, modern shade of gold. The install was super easy. I replaced an ugly chrome faucet of similar height, which never quite stood up straight, no matter how much I tightened the underside. The Kraus faucet stands up nice and tall. It was easy to install, although I don’t love installing faucets due to the fact that you have to be a bit of a contortionist. The sprayer pulls out and retracts smoothly and with ease, and there is plenty of length. The faucet swivels 360°, so if I wanted to, I could get water from the other side of my counter, which I actually have done. The height of the faucet is perfect, and allows for the washing of larger items with ease. The water pressure is perfect. I like the single faucet handle, and the straight lines and modern style. It is going to fit in nicely with the design of my kitchen, which I am currently remodeling. My design will have nice muted sage green cabinets, gold fixtures, and white quartz countertops. I haven’t yet decided on the tile style and colors for the backsplash, but this faucet will go with literally almost anything. I liked the color and style of this faucet so much, that I purchased the matching reverse osmosis water faucet, as well as two in sink soap pumps. They are all the same amazing quality, and all pieces installed just as easily as the faucet. Don’t hesitate if you are thinking about buying this brand, you will not be disappointed. I do have one single gripe, and that is that Kraus does not make a matching champagne bronze sink drain. I hope that they will add one to their line of products soon.

I bought this faucet a few days ago and now love it. However, immediately upon installing, it leaked at the swivel joint for the sprayer head - not where the sprayer threads into the hose. The exploded view in the installation guide shows a gasket at that interface but nothing else. Assuming I had a defective unit, I planned on returning it. But it kept bugging me so I decided to fish out the flat gasket. Upon doing so, the next thing I found was an O-ring. Underneath that was the flat side of a hard plastic U-shaped washer, and finally it was the start of the flared water fitting. This is a long way of saying that it arrived from the factory assembled in the wrong order. The O-Ring needs to go in first and rest inside the channel of the plastic piece (installed second) so that it seals off the water fitting. The gasket (third) goes in next, and lastly the sprayer head. It was immediately fixed. Wrote this in case others have a similar problem. I fear that if I wasn’t a mech eng, I wouldn’t have found the issue. @Kraus you might need a corrective action in your assembly line lol. 4 stars for the headache, would have been 5 if working out of the box

This faucet is amazing. It looks great, feels solid and works great. The feature that allows tap in the osmosis water through the extra spout works really well. I have it installed on my island and the size and design of this faucet the “pop” that my kitchen needs. The shipping was excellent and overall I’m very happy with my purchase.
