    yes mapping is week, but you can download maps for greater detail. never had an issue with locking on to sats. Yes French instructions what the heck, easy to find online. Best part is buddy location can be a life saver. Can't see this being a great on road GPS but winter Back country its great.

    Bought a trail tech pro was the worst thing I’ve ever bought for a device for outdoors. Not picking up satellites,gps, or buddy system, send it to the trail tech in the USA that cost me another 250 bucks and they send back to me from doing nothing with it,after the guy walk step by step saying send it cause something wrong inside. If anyone is looking to buy this product DON’T WASTE OF CASH

    There was only French instructions in the package. Pain to have to go to a computer and print of the English ones from voyager web site. Also was missing the sensor for water temp that web site shows included in the snow kit.
