Q: Is this mixer available in a larger size (i.e. 6 quarts)? Is it worth it to buy the larger one?

A: To the best of my knowledge the bowl is sized for the ability of the mixer to handle the amount of mix, that is why you typically will see the more powerful, larger sturdier mixers with larger bowls. The main reason I see to get 6qt. if you are making bread frequently and or in multiple loaf batches. Hard to tell but I believe that the Artisan and above are the ones with metal gears and transmission housings. The 6 qt. comes with metal dishwasher safe attachments vs. plastic. (I think plastic is not ok with the heat cycle in the Dishwasher so you might be able to get away using the DW but why risk it)
