Q: Is it normal to for it to have an odour? When I use it, there is a very strong chemically smell. Is it defective? It smells like it could be the filter but I don't think it's normal.

A: Hi. I have used mine for over a yr often and I have no smell coming off at all. Is it possible the you sprayed it or the non stck pan with something before you used it? The filter is just wire mesh so its not that.
