It's unfortunate that although it does boil water .. it does not live up to the KitchenAid quality and name. Bit of a disappointment.

Low quality

The quality of this kettle does match its brand name. Bought this kettle in lase September. The handle was broken in first month, exchanged a new one, and hoped that it could last longer. But the cap is rusty and leaks from between mouth and body.

I brought this kettle because of the brand name. have used it for 20 months . first the whistle stopped closing , no more whistle. then developed small leak at spigot . last week picked it up and the handle broke. It is (was) used on a standard electric stove and never run dry. I would have hoped that at this price point that the product would have held up better although I have to say it still looked like new when the handle snapped off in my hand. As a foot note I purchased a $6.00 kettle from cnd tire about 7 years ago and use it at work .It looks not so good but still has all its parts.

A: Yes this kettle has a flat bottom. However this SS kettle is not meant to be used on induction stoves so please refer to your stove top suitability to ensure compatibility.
