I bought this blender to replace my old kitchenaid one. I am happy i made this purchase, he features to crush ice and to clean are definitely a plus to this new model. It is also easier to handle and easier to clean.

This mixer is powerful. It lets me put frozen bananas into it for smoothies - I just push the "crush ice" setting and it can easily pulverize the frozen banana; then I can switch the setting to "smoothie" and it will whip up a great smoothie. I also like that it turns itself off when the "ice" is pulverized, and the smoothie is ready. A really good feature is that the top container will fit only one way into the base, so there's no chance of accidentally having the placement off a bit - which would strip the gears. The top container is light which makes it easy to handle.
