The shed looks nice, was easy to put together. It could be a little heavier gauge plastic. But generally pleased with our purchase.

A Really Nice Shed for the Price

Not too difficult to build. My wife and I spent about 8 hours total. Per the instructions, you need to have some access around all four sides. We didn't leave the recommended 27" but with about 18" i was enough to get the job done. The walls are a little flimsy so you can't lean anything heavy against the walls, but not a big concern. Fit and finish were very good. A rubber mallet is helpful to persuade some of the pieces into place. It rained pretty hard a few days after our build, and everything was dry. The only real complaint are the shelves that come with the shed. One fell down very quickly. I don't trust them to support more than a few pounds; any flex in the sidewall will cause the support bracket to fail. But for the money, a really nice shed that provides easy access to all our stuff.

Poor Quality

Terrible Quality- I had a previous shed that I bought previously about 10 years ago, It was awesome. The quality of the new sheds are terrible. Doors and walls are warped and do not connect well. Doors wont latch. I'm very disappointed and purchased 2 of them. Sorry to say they certainly won't be lasting long.

A: The Factor 8x6 shed consists of 2 packages: Package #1 - dimensions: W199xD113xH24; 54.5 Kg Package #2 -dimensions: W199xD113xH25; 74 Kg It will take a few hours with the help of a couple people to put it together.

Q: Are the walls strong enough to mount bikes to? Are there any accessories for this?

A: Hi Wreckzone, Strong as they are, the walls of the Factor 8x6 were not designed for bike mounting. You could, of course, place any of numerous dedicated bike mounting solutions on the shed’s heavy-duty floor.

Q: How many shelves come with the shed? The picture shows shelving. Do these come with the storage shed or do they have to be purchased separately? What is the cost of the shelving if so?

A: The Factor 8x6 comes with 2 shelves and 2 complementing shelf brackets. Shelves can be installed either as two spate shelves or as 1 long one. There's no need to purchase them separately.

Q: what is the actual exterio dept of the shed in inches I need to know this when I build my base

A: The maximum external depth of this shed is: 71.5" see enclosed image. The recommended base for all of our sheds, is either cement or wood, to which you could fix the shed using the designated holes in the shed’s floor.The base should be at least as big as the shed’s floor.

Q: Building a shed base Hi. I have a flat back yard. For this type of shed, do I have to build a base or can I just drive the floor stakes into the ground to secure it? If I need a base, what kind of base would you recommend? Thanks

A: Hi. Securing the shed is always recommended. Drill holes in the floor at the pre-marked locations and insert proper screws, either directly into the ground or preferably into a concrete or wooden base.

Q: Is the width (including eaves) 101" or 97.8" One answer states the width including eaves is 97.8" but the diagram depicts it as 101". I have 8' width between fence and house wall and 101" means probably I don't have enough space for building side eaves. However, 97.8" would be fine.

A: The 101" refers to the shed’s maximum external measurement, which in this case is includes the roof. If the fence is shorter than the eaves, you should be fine …

Q: Are the floor outer dimensions the 8' x 6' or do the eaves hang over the floor size. I want to make a base which is not larger than the floor .

A: The measurements provided are maximum external dimensions, and indeed takes into account the eaves. External floor dimensions are: W97.8” x D70.1”. For added security and stability, fix the shed to the foundation using the designated holes in the shed’s floor.
