This shed is flimsy and will never last during winter. I wanted to return it, but already put most of it together. So I have to pay more money to get it all reinforced with wood.

Decent shed, but Do Not Buy it

I did not find the shed difficult to assemble and it took my wife and I around 3 hours to put together once we had our base level and in place. Be sure to add a subfloor to your base. My biggest complaint, and the one reason I would say to avoid this shed, is that absolutely ludicrous latch design. It is not like the one in the picture at all, the latch will not take a padlock, so this shed is basically unlockable as is,. I will need to McGiver some way to lock my shed. The new latch has a tiny, flat opening that you could maybe run a tiny wire or lock in, but not a standard lock. Dumb, Dumb, Dumb design

Q: Does this Darwin storage come with a floor?if so, what is the material? What to know how durable it is?

  • A: It has a plastic floor, but you will need to build a floor or put it on a piece of 3/4 inch plywood. Make sure the ground is level so your doors close

Q: Going to pick up mine next weekend and planning to do the base, what dimensions do I need?

  • A: We put ours up last month and used cement slabs that were 16" x 16" so 5 slabs x 5 slabs. This gave us 80" x 80" of base that leaves 4" of base around the outside edge of the shed once complete. Very happy with this and it looks great.
