English follows J'ai acheté ce produit (modèle 20SA10-CA) il y a moins de 6 mois (février 2026). Réveillé la nuit dernière par un signal sonore assourdissant. Je remarque que l'avertisseur n'éclaire pas comme il le faisait auparavent. Je dois descendre de l'étage au sous-sol chercher un escabeau pour atteindre le bouton. J'appuie sur le bouton, le bip sonore étourdissant persiste. Je redescends au sous-sol couper le courant. Le signal sonore continue encore. Je tourne le boitier et je le dégage. J'essaie de retirer le connecteur du "faisceau rapide". Pour cela, il faut appuyer sur une petite encoche d'un millimètre qui le retient et tirer en même temps une languette. Impossible avec seulement les doigts. Je tire alors sur les fils pour atteindre et sortir une marette de connection vissée et je déconnecte un fil. Le bruit s'arrête enfin et je peux retourner dormir. Ce matin, je réussis à débrancher le connecteur du "faisceau rapide" au moyen d'une paire de pinces à sourcils. Je téléphone ensuite au ensuite au 1-800-880-6788. Je choisis l'option parler à quelqu'un en français. On avertit immédiatement que le service est débordé par la grande quantité d'appels. Au bout de 10 minutes, ça raccroche sans avertissement. Je rappelle à nouveau. Je choisis à nouveau de parler en français à quelqu'un, on me répond en anglais 5 minutes plus tard. La dame me propose de me transférer à quelqu'un qui parle français en me disant qu'il n'y a que trois personnes pour répondre en français ... (Je ne la crois simplement pas.) Je décide de continuer en anglais. Je me faire dire que ce doit être dû à un insecte, de débrancher le détecteur, de le nettoyer avec de l'air comprimé ou un aspirateur et d'attendre à demain pour le rebrancher. Pas vu d'insecte ou de poussière sortir au nettoyage. Comment un service à la clientèle peut être débordé si ce n'est parce qu'il n'y a pas assez de personnel, ce n'est quand même pas le 911. La personne qui a fait le désign du connecteur rapide est franchement une imbécile qui ne s'est pas soucié de la façon de le débrancher. Je n'ai simplement plus confiance dans ce détecteur de fumée, qu'il semble fonctionner correctement ou pas lorsque je le rebrancherai. Et la fiabilité, n'est-ce pas ce qu'il y a de plus important pour un détecteur de fumée? I purchased this product (model 20SA10-CA) less than 6 months ago (February 2026). I was woken up last night by a deafening beeping sound. I noticed that the alarm light wasn't working as it used to. I had to go down from upstairs to the basement to get a stepladder to reach the button. I pressed the button, but the deafening beeping continued. I went back down to the basement to turn off the power. The beeping still continued. I turned the casing over and removed it. I tried to disconnect the "quick harness" connector. To do this, you have to press on a tiny, one-millimeter notch that holds it in place and simultaneously pull a tab. Impossible with just your fingers. So I pulled on the wires to reach and remove a screw-in connector and disconnected one wire. The noise finally stopped, and I was able to go back to sleep. This morning, I managed to disconnect the "quick harness" connector using a pair of tweezers. I then called 1-800-880-6788. I selected the option to speak to someone in French. I was immediately informed that the service was overwhelmed by the high volume of calls. After 10 minutes, the call was disconnected without warning. I called again. I again selected to speak to someone in French, and I was answered in English 5 minutes later. The woman offered to transfer me to someone who spoke French, telling me that there were only three people available to answer calls in French... (I simply didn't believe her.) I decided to continue in English. I was told that it must be due to an insect, to unplug the detector, clean it with compressed air or a vacuum cleaner, and wait until tomorrow to plug it back in. I didn't see any insects or dust come out during the cleaning. How can customer service be overwhelmed if it's not because they're understaffed? It's not like they're calling 911. The person who designed the quick connector is frankly an idiot who didn't care how to unplug it. I simply no longer trust this smoke detector, whether it seems to be working properly or not when I plug it back in. And isn't reliability the most important thing for a smoke detector?

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: In the feature details it has smoke and Co2. Is this correct as the unit appears to be just smoke.

  • A: Thank you for pointing out the ambiguity of the wording. This is a smoke alarm ONLY. however, since it is interconnected, should there be a CO or combo alarm on the network, this alarm (unlike most past smoke alarms) will pass on the message of the CO alarm.
