So far so good. Even without fixing it to a base the Kabin Kindling Firewood Splitter is quite stable, and has been good assistant for the chore of firewood splitting.

Q: Can it be sharpened? Is the blade removable?

A: The blade is not removable. I don't see why it couldn't be sharpened, but bear in mind comes painted, so you'll take the paint off. But in my experience the paint is chipping off the blade anyway (doesn't affect function).
