Great design, great product

I replaced a my old well reviewed grinder when it stopped working. I am beyond happy with my KitchenAid Burr Coffee grinder. It has performed will beyond my expectations. Not only is it quieter than my old grinder, it is easy to use, easy to keep clean and grinds the coffee perfectly. I really like the design. Not only does it look good, it has features that I wished my previous grinder had. Someone knew what they were doing. Without hesitation I highly recommend this grinder.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had an old Cuisinart burr grinder for years. It is loud and always leaves a layer of very fine particles, regardless of how coarse or fine the grind setting is. My goal was to find a reasonably priced burr grinder that had lots of flexibility with respect to grind settings, and most importantly, was very consistent with the output, regardless of grind setting. The Kitchenaid burr grinder delivered this and then some. On top of the extremely consistent grind, it is also surprisingly quiet. The only minor quibble I have is that the grind settings are somewhat counter-intuitive. Every grinder I have used has had the grind size number correspond to the size of the grind. I.e. the smaller the number, the finer the grind. But the Kitchenaid is the opposite for some reason. 1 is extremely coarse and 80 is extremely fine. Strange.

Perfect I do not know how they did it, but there is no static cling of the ground coffee to the sides of the collection vessel.

This is my second KitchenAid burr grinder. I love it so much I bought another for our vacation house. Once you use this machine, you won’t be able to do without it. It is perfect, customizing the grind is easy and no static to spray the grinds. Worth every penny!

Q: Can you grind a large quantity at one time?

  • A: Depends how you define ‘large’ quantity. I routinely grind ~ 2 cups measure of ground coffee at a time with no difficulty. Motor doesn’t seem to heat up much so you could likely fill up the ground coffee container without difficulty.
