Great speaker for f150 sony stereo

Purchases these to replace factory speakers in my f150, they work.good without an aftermarket amplifier. Being 2 ohms they require more volume to create more bass, that being said you can adjust equalizer to get a great sound without distortion! I recommend getting these at the clearance price before there gone! There discontinued

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Bought them for my 2004 Ford Ranger regular cab to replace the speakers that were in the doors. These speakers are impeccable, they fill the truck with amazing lifelike sound. The highs and mid range are very clear, and the lower end presents itself very well. You can really get some bass out of these speakers if you crank the bass up! Have never experienced any distortion even at very high volumes. Going to buy another pair for the empty spots behind the seats next!!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Great replacement for stock speakers

We installed these in my son's 2002 Mustang along with a new head unit, and the difference is dramatic. While they don't have the deep, booming bass that a lot of teenagers seem to want these days, to my ears the sound is smooth and balanced. Highly recommended for those looking to upgrade.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Want to replace my entire stock sound system in my 1997 ford f-350 crew cab with a am-fm cd receiver that supports Sirius radio as well as a amp and a speaker system that will have power and extreme clarity like a concert hall. What would you recommend?

Q: I see these are 3 ohm rated , my pioneer head unit says to run 4 to 8 , would these be ok to still run ?? I run Kenwood 5x7 s but the range is to narrow and I'm after a bit more . Many thanks

    • A: Thank you for your question. You should match the Ohms of your whole system. The speakers will still work as long as they are not turned up to their full capacity, but we would still recommend you look for one that is 4 ohms instead.

Q: What is the best setup for 2011 f150 super cab? Speaker cups or just speaker install?

    • A: The GX862s are designed to be installed on a free-air environment. Thus installing it without a speaker cup/flower pot will let the speaker work as intended. If the speaker will be installed in a panel that other speakers will be installed on, it may help to install a flower pot to make sure that vibrations caused by one would not affect the other.
