Not water proof

I don’t appreciate that it is marketed as water proof when it is not water proof. My feedback is to market it as water resistant to stop deceptive advertising.

Thanks for your feedback. Our JBL Flip 7 is rated IP68, which means it is both dustproof and waterproof and can be submerged in up to 1.5 meters of fresh water for up to 30 minutes. Any exposure beyond these limits is not recommended and may affect the speaker's performance or protection.

Thank you for sharing us your experience with our JBL Flip 7. It has a published up-to playtime of up to 16 hours which is the maximum battery time you will get when listening at background levels. As you turn up the volume, the playtime will be reduced, much like a phone battery when you brighten the screen. The same goes for source material. Music with more bass will also reduce playtime. It is possible that the battery is working correctly, but depletes more quickly when the volume is very loud and/or the bass has been boosted. Battery playtime also decreases as the battery ages and all batteries, over time, will slowly wear down. Charge the battery to 100% and then listen to music without any bass boosted, and at a very low volume. If the battery lasts close to the published up-to playtime, the battery is working fine. However, if you get less than 90% of the published spec, please contact our customer support so we can assist you further. https://support.jbl.com/us/en/#contact

Q: Will this connect to my Extreme 3 with PartyBoost? The features list on this page says "JBL PartyBoost - Yes" but I've read online that Auracast speakers are (annoyingly) not backwards compatible. Which is it?

A: Thank you for your inquiry. Our JBL Flip 7 does not float. However, it designed to be waterproof and dustproof. It has a rating of IP68 making it dustproof and immersible for up to 1.5m of water for 30 minutes.

A: Thanks for your question. Our JBL Flip 7 can not connect to speakers outside our JBL speakers using Auracast. It can only connect to other JBL speakers that support Auracast. Also, the AI Sound Boost is an automatic feature and can not be turned off manually, and our Flip 7 does not have a built-in microphone, so there is no mic feature to enable or disable

A: Thank you for your question. Our JBL Flip 7 does not have a noise cancellation feature. This feature typically found in our headphones and earbuds. Additionally, if you receive an incoming call while playing music through the speaker, the music will automatically pause, and the call audio will play only through your phone, as the speaker does not support speakerphone feature.

Universal Compatibility: It utilizes a USB Type-C connection, which is common and compatible with chargers you likely already have for other devices. This makes charging more convenient, as you won’t need a specific cable. 2. Reducing Electronic Waste: By not including a cable, JBL helps minimize unnecessary accessories. Many users already have extra cables, so this approach helps prevent waste from unused items that could end up being discarded.
