KwikWeld™ Professional is a professional-sized version of our fast setting KwikWeld™ two-part epoxy cold weld system. It provides strong, lasting repairs to metal and multiple other surface types. After mixing, it forms a permanent bond and can be shaped, tapped, filed, sanded and drilled after curing. KwikWeld™ has a 1:1 mixing ratio, sets in 6 minutes and is fully cured in 4-6 hours. KwikWeld™ cures to a dark grey color, is rated at a tensile strength of 3127 PSI and will withstand temperatures up to 300ºF.

Used JB Welt for many years but was delighted when the company brought out a quicker curing version. I used this new one to repair a cracked drain pipe. Cleaned the old metal to insure a positive bond. This drain is under very low pressure, but a hour later I let the water flow and had no leaks. The JB weld was dry to the touch in 20 minutes and the next day was fully curred an soldi.

Q: How quickly does this set? The description is misleading. The product picture shown says it sets in 4 minutes (like the KWIK product is supposed to) where the product description says it sets in 1-2 hours. Which is it? Perhaps 1-2 hours is the curing time?

A: J-B KwikWeld sets in 6 minutes and is fully cured in 4-6 hours. J-B KwikWeld cures to a dark grey color, is rated at a tensile strength of 2424 PSI and will withstand temperatures up to 300ºF.
