As good as any other

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The chalk line was sturdy and held the chalk well. It held onto the screw and had to be pulled off.
Winding the line up was a little difficult. While holding the base my fingers got in the way of turning the crank some. The speed winder only worked perfect the first time or two. After that, is started to skip. It didn’t get jammed but was a little hard at times.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Is there a trick to winding it? I bought this set ~1year ago and went to use it for the second time yesterday only to have it make a clicking sound when trying to wind the line back in (sounds like gears jumping/grinding).

A: Answering my own question. In short, this product is garbage. It's a really sturdy cast aluminum case with a flimsy plastic reel driven by a very small metal peg in the middle. Square metal peg + flimsy plastic reel = broken reel with the smallest amount of force.
