Completely useless

Every time I try to grip onto anything they slide open and when you're trying to hold something or whatever you're doing it's a shock and screws stuff up. Like another commenter said... Great paperweight. They have never worked from day one. I didn't keep the receipt because I didn't expect them to be completely useless.

I have the 12" and literally thought there was a defect and searched for a recall on this product in hopes of it not just being a poor design. Vise grips do not lock into place and with the slightest grip, they release and slide. I even thought it might be user error until googling the product.

I have the 12" groovelock pliers. They look and feel great, but are worthless because the locking mechanism slips under very low torque.

Powerful reliable and easy to use. I love how these adjust and lock into size setting. I own these in 8 and 10”. Multiples of the 8. Cannot go wrong with these even when they are not on sale. I’ll always pay up for a good tool- life is too short
