Pictures don’t match what you get

Pictures of product no longer aligned with what you get. I was hoping that the mounts would have a flat surface for better side-to-side support and prevent wobble. Unfortunately the racks are now just a tube that the bolts go into and then into the wall. The attachment, while secure, is less secure than I’d initially hoped based on the product images.

Q: Can these hooks be mounted in concrete? If so how?

A: This could technically be done with concrete screws such as Tapcon. The product does not have brackets as shown in the pictures. The screws go right through the actual J cradle. It would just be a question of whether the screws fit in the holes and have a head big enough to anchor.

Q: Several customers have pointed out in the past that the flat mounting brackets were not on the product as shown in the photos and this should be corrected. Has anyone bought this recently? Are there mounting brackets now?

A: Bought them this summer, still no brackets on them unless I got an older model. I used washers on the original holes on the riser and mounted to the wall in the garage. Works perfectly that way, the brackets not being there should not prevent a good mount.

A: China. And they don't have the flat screw brackets shown in the pic, just holes and the appropriate large wood screws. But they work well enough. My 17 foot sea kayak is now hanging outside on them.
