Q: It says it reads abs and srs codes, but can you delete them
3 years agoA: sorry, but it depends on the age and type of car/truck. worked on my Chev. It's a very basic (hand crank windows, no key fob) but it worked for me. It does have ABS. Merry Christmas

Q: Will this bring up error codes that in the past have been reset?
4 years agoA: This Innova 3100 Code Reader will display all 10 OBD2 diagnostic modes, however it will only return current pending or confirmed codes. Typically, "storage" of historical code data is entirely dependent on the capabilities of the vehicle ECU by make/model and requires specialized diagnostic tools to retrieve these codes.

14 years agoA: The newer version of the unit can reset ABS system if you have repaired it. At the time of this answer it is Feb, 10, 2021 and I have the innova 3100rs but the more modern version with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, I bought at Canadian tire in mission, British Columbia. And I can confirm it can successfully reset ABS modules as I did it tonight on my Honda.

4 years agoA: Yes, the 3100RS will work for both the 2018 GMC Sierra and 2014 Subaru Crosstrek to read and clear the check engine light, ABS, and SRS.

Q: If you have a failed wheel speed sensor , will it tell you exactly which of the four is not working.
4 years agoA: Mine indicated two diagonally opposed sensor. I don’t know if it cannot single the sensor out, or if both were actually defective. So, it will at least narrow it down to two sensors (2005 Tacoma).

Q: I have a 2003 Dodge Cummings Diesel 5.9 litre engine My engine light goes on first thing in the morning and stays on and idles rough for 30 seconds, will this code reader work?
14 years agoA: Vehicles that weigh more that 8500lbs GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight) are considered medium duty vehicles and are not required to be OBD2 compliant. If you are not sure your truck is OBD2 compliant, look on your vehicle’s emissions sticker for something that says “OBD II certified”. If it is not, the tool will either not link, or give you half the diagnostic information from your vehicle. In this instance, I recommend that you consult your dealer.

Q: Is this work for vehicles in Asian Countries Q1. Is this device work for the models sold for Asian Countries (Markets - like Sri Lanka) of the makes like Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Kia, etc.
15 years agoA: It should work on Asian vehicles assembled in North American or imported by the manufacturer. If the vehicle is imported from overseas, do not expect it to work. They may have different standards there.
