best cooler ever

This is the best cooler I've ever had - I bought the all-white 'marine' version - because it: - fits perfectly between the front seats of my van and is very space efficient - lasts 3-4 days if I use 2 jugs of block ice from home, made in 2-litre plastic milk jugs, and keep a few layers of wet towel over the top of the cooler. It also helps to keep the jugs of ice going if you empty out the melted water after 2 days. I don't recommend using cube ice with this cooler because it melts very quickly and there is no drainage plug on the side to easily empty out the melted ice.

Ice lasted about an hour

Bought this thinking that the 3 day ice rating would at least last 1 day - as cooler manufacturers tend to over estimate. Prior to leaving for camping I packed some cold cans of beer into the cooler and dumped a bag of ice on them. I drove 55 minutes to the campground. Upon my arrival, I went to retrieve an ice cold beer. While my beer was very cold, I was disappointed to see 90% of the ice was now water. On the positive side; the cooler can fit quite a bit - the inside lid is raised so you can pack it full and still close the lid. It's also a very nice blue... I returned, but only got store credit as i'd used it. Next time, I'll save my money and use a plastic bag.
