Q: How can this trickle charge your battery through the cigarette lighter? I ask this as there does not seemto be a way toconnect it to the cigarette lighter.

A: This device isn't designed to charge your battery through a car's DC power outlet (formerly the cigarette lighter) and probably shouldn't be used for that purpose unless you REALLY know what you are doing and even then it's use would be limited since the output voltage, at 12.25 volts, is not high enough for the purpose. Best stick to using this to power coolers and other devices that require no more than five amps; for that it works just fine.
