    Great poncho

Worked good keeping a driving rain off me

Great poncho for urban or open woodland hiking.

I initially purchased this poncho on my way to a day hike during very rainy and windy weather at Point Pelee National Park. I am ordering a DD Hammocks ripstop poncho froom the UK but it would not have arrived in time so I picked this up on the way to the Park as it was in stock and very budget-friendly at $19.99 regular price. I just wanted something for the day that was cheap but would work, and it did and decided to keep it in my vehicle as a backup poncho when needed. The material is thinner material than I would feel comfortable using in any sort of rough rucking, bushcraft, or deeper woodland hiking conditions where you might find yourself moving through branches and foliage which sweep against you. However, it felt more than adequate for normal hiking through open areas where you just want protection from the rain, and the green colour is nice for not making you stand out. The material itself was fully waterproof and while it is not breathable due to the nature of the material, it held up nicely in the heavy weather and kept my dry. The snaps stayed together decently and I only had a single situation where one came undone while putting it on in windy conditions. Again, if you are planning to do any sort of really serious woodland hiking, rucking, or bushcrafting where you will be pushing through woodland brush, then you are much better off getting a dedicated military-style poncho with ripstop like one from DD Hammocks, Helikon-Tex, or Snugpak which is far more durable, designed to for rougher conditions, and also for use with a backpack. If you just need something to keep most of the rain off you during urban walking or open woodland Park hiking, this will do the job fine and not break your budget.

    A Overall Solid Product

Overall a pretty good rain poncho. Its leight weight and fairly easy to put on. The only gripe I have with it is the awkward buttons on the side to either have sleeves or keep it open. Though overall it's what I expected!

    Poncho

Good product, kept me dry in the rain. Found that it kept condensation inside, so always felt wet internally, but otherwise worked well.

    Kept me dry

It feels a little fragile, but did its job and kept me dry. The nature of waterproof material like this is that it was also quite warm to wear, which could be a good or bad thing, but I didn't like it. The snaps on the sides worked fine on my partners poncho but mine kept coming undone. I wore it briefly during a hike where I needed to be able to see where I was putting my feet and this thing was so dang wide and umbrella-like in shape that it caused me some issues there. We bought different, better fitting ones for the future and will keep these as back-ups!
