Wire not strong enough for larger mature rabbit

With ten snares setup, I lost two out of three rabbits. In the case of the two lost rabbits, they were able to stretch and break the wire (Note: There were no predator tracks around the snares). I suspect those two animals likely did not survive from the wound the wire left on their neck. As for the rabbit I was able to harvest, it was very small. In conclusion, this wire is not strong enough for a larger mature rabbit.
In my 40+ years of trapping rabbit, this is very unusual. From memory, I had something like this occur once, however in that case there were coyote tracks around the snare.
No, I do not recommend this product.
