I bought a T9 Thermostat plus a 2 pack of RCHTSENSOR from the same big box retailer. My professional HVAC guy installed the T9 which works just fine. He could not get the sensors to connect earlier this week after spending an hour on the issue. He told me to return them. I wanted them to work, so I wasted over an hour of my own time tonight trying to get them to connect. I reset them, pulled the batteries, tried new batteries, etc. These are absolute junk and not what I would expect from a lifetime of being a Honeywell customer. To me this is a prime example of a company entering into a new foray of technology without the foresight of how to get the products to market so they work seamlessly. Very aggravating.

Super Sensor

These sensors work great. We have two for setting our temps in the rooms we occupy most, which are 30' away from the t-stat in a hallway. That doesn't make any sense. Well, these sensors enable us to set the temp where we relax and spend our time, without having to constantly adjust the t-stat.

Sensors won't connect

Both sensors fail to connect from the 2 pack while the one sensor that came with the T9 connects just fine. Will change my review of I can get this remedied.

Need a tabletop stand

Works great but needs a stand for mounting. Thankfully I am an engineer with a 3D printer and created my own. Most users don't have this option, I don't want to mount to the wall, it works great on top of my dresser

Q: How can a temperate sensor control the heat going to individual rooms when the furnace duct work has only manually controlled floor grates and duct dampers.

A: Hi Old Guy, thank you for your question. When you adjust the temperature in one room, it will impact the temperature in the rest of your home. For example, if your basement is regularly 4 degrees cooler than your bedroom, it will continue to be slightly cooler as you adjust the temperature to meet your bedroom preferences. If the bedroom and the basement are both selected as priority rooms, the thermostat will average the temperature of those two rooms, and your basement will still be cooler than your bedroom. - Maria
