Great when it feels like working.

Great when it works. Sometimes does not turn on at all. Manually filling the bottom reservoir seems to get it working so it seems to be an auto shut off level issue. Returned first one only to get one missing the lid. Next one I got had the same shut off issue as the first.

Design flaw, get the 1 litre…

I purchased the 1 litre version used it for a week and it was great! So I gave it to my mom and went back to get myself another. Unfortunately, they were out but I figured the smaller would suffice for my needs and that it would work just as well. Wrong. Huge design flaw in the evaporation escape and water starts dripping down the side of the unit directly into the control knob, pooling on whatever surface is on. Annoyed they are selling it as someone must have noticed during testing?!

I purchased one and filled it with distilled water, the light came on but no mist. Returned it and got another one....same thing. NO THANKS.

Design flaws

Not sure we would recommend this. While it works sufficiently and quietly, There are some design flaws. The mist opening on top is too small, as bubbles form and then drip down into the control knob and causing it to stop working. You then have to dry it out on a heat source or in the sun. This happens on a low setting or high. It can also spit a bit so you need to have it on a waterproof surface
If they had made the top concave or flat, instead of rounded this would have alleviated the issue. Why doesn't the product developer test these things?!

Q: Cartridge listed on website PDC51CTIP 143-0006 does not fit inside properly. Box says it needs PDC51CV2, Do you have a demineralization cartrige for this. PDC51cv2?

A: Cartridge PDC51CTIP does fit in the Honeywell HUL530C humidifier, I have 2 of them and used this cartridge in both. At first I had it upside down but I turned it over and it fit perfectly into the shape of the unit. Hope that helps!

Q: Can you time it to shut off at a certain time/hour? Does the light bother you when you are sleeping?

A: You can’t set the humidifier to turn off at night The light is optional. You can have it on or off with a tap of your finger.

Q: Would this humidifier be good in a small finished basement where I have hanging guitars to perk up the humidity to around 40-45 so the instruments can have a decent humidity level. Is there a humidity control. Thank you.

A: There is no humidity control. This humidifier only works in 1 room and only lasts on average 8 hours before needing to be refilled. We wish we bought a larger one for our 1 bedroom apartment

A: We set ours to not change colours, so if you check the different settings, you should be able to change it.
