drilled the holes to the appropriate size and inserted the anchors. when I went to install them they just spun and twisted into an unusable piece of metal. now I've got two holes in my wall I can't do anything with

Q: How long is the anchor prior to collapse (i.e., before use)? I need an anchor for thin panel board (e.g., 1/8 of an inch thick) that is under 1.25 inches long.

A: Sorry, it was for the 1/8" (5) pack. Anyway, I found out elsewhere that they normally come in XS, S, M, L lengths of which I needed the XS one. Not a problem if I am shopping instore and I can see the item and package but pretty critical information when shopping online and there's just one product photo that is hard to tell the size from. Did not want to risk get the wrong size so ended up going to a competitor store that had the sizes properly noted so that I didn't need to risk wasting my time picking up a set that would not fit my requirements.
