Incorrect Size Information

This salt block is at an excellent price for a 12" x 8' salt block with holder but the size that is stated here is incorrect. The actual dimensions are 8" x 8" so the price isn't as great as you would think. Can't put much food on this surface.

Obviously the quality will very from one slab to the next seeing as its a slab of salt carved off a salt wall in the Himalayen. some are good and last awhile, and others last a month. but if you like details when you cook to make it perfect then this is what you'll love!

It works but it not worth the $$$ . I will be buying a pizza stone to cover the entire grill with the same heat retention effect. Excellent pick up service from Canadian Tire.

Q: can the Himalayan Salt Stone & Rack be used in the oven?

A: Of course this can be used in the oven. You have to heat it slowly and get it upwards of 500 degrees F. It may splatter all over your oven one you put food on it so I would recommend placing a cookie sheet on the rack below to catch the splatters.
