Hillman's split lock washers, crafted from rust-resistant stainless steel, offer bolt compression resistance. The split in the washer design provides uniform load distribution whilst gripping both compressing surfaces and preventing loosening from vibration. Whilst tightening, the corner edge digs into materials to ensure a fastened fit that lasts. Ideal for industrial applications requiring assurance that nuts and bolts stay where you put them.

Hillman Stainless Steel Split Lock Washers provide a circular bearing surface with offset split ends which help bite into the mating material to provide a locking feature when tightened beneath a nut
It is round with a hole in the centre and can be used where loosening from corrosion or vibration is a concern
Lock washers are commonly used in any application using a bolt where two pieces are being drawn together

Lock washer

Figured I should put a lock washer on the bolt I bought so I found these and purchased them as well. Nice to get more than one in the package as I lost the first one somewhere on my truck.

Washers work as you would expect

Canadian Tire has a decent selection of screws, nuts, bolts and washers. I usually prefer to buy assortments since they are more economical, but there weren't any with larger nuts, bolts and washers so I chose a bag of 5. While there is a cabinet to organize the hardware, it is unfortunate that other customers mix everything up making it hard to find what you are looking for.
