Product Details

Hillman's anchors expand inside the wall to securely fasten items. Pre-drill the hole and tap in the anchor until flush. Tighten the screw into the anchor to set into place. Choose from various sizes depending on the screw diameter and load required. They make hanging pictures, shelves and other lightweight items a no-fuss project.

Bolt too short

While the wall anchor works well enough, the bolt was too short. I was using the anchors for securing a set of shelves. The rail on which the shelve brackets attach is what is attached to the wall was too deep for the bolt to reach the back of the anchor in the wall. I had to secure the anchors by threading the bolt entirely without the rail, and then removing the bolts and finally attaching the rails to the anchors. This tripled the amount of time it took to perform the entire task. That said, now that that it is complete it is very sucurely attached to the wall.

Didn’t work well at all in drywall.

a year ago

Was hanging a rack on a closet wall and did not work well at all. Not a snug fit because metal dug into drywall, but because it opened partially behind the wall, unable to pull it back out without creating a giant hole. So will have to use it anyway but not a nice look.

No, I do not recommend this product.
