Pan warps. Lid no longer sits on top.

The size & non-stick quality is good. The downside is that it doesn't take much exposure to high heat before the pan sides warp in & the lid will no longer fit on top. This pan might have been exposed to higher heats than recommended but not often & not for any length of time. Bought with the aim of transferring from stove top to oven...doesn't work. Maybe should have been TESTED a little longer. Will go back to Lagostina.

Good materials and construction - TERRIBLE design

I bought 2 of these (9" and 12") on sale at a fraction of the original price which claimed to be about $60 and $90.
They seemed to be good quality and they do deliver in terms of even heat distribution, good non-stick surface and solid construction.
The HUGE problem is a very poor, non-functional design:
1. For some inexplicable reason, the handle is raised vertically from the edge of the pan which makes it absolutely impossible to use any lid/cover (they did not come with own well-fitting lids).
2. The handle transmits too much heat and heats up to the point when you cannot hold on to it without an oven mit or a towel.
3. The handle has the LEAST ergonomic design of any pan I have seen in the last 25 years. It makes it extremely uncomfortable to hold or lift (that's in addition to being HOT).
4. And at last, the design of the edge of the pan, which does not curve up enough, makes the contents/food fly out at a 45 degree angle out of the pan and splatter all over the stove, when you shake the pan even a slightly trying to saute or fry anything.
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: Always use non-metal, non-sharp-edged utensils such as plastic, nylon, wooden or rubber. Sharp-edged metal utensils may scratch and damage the surface.

A: This cookware is oven safe up to 356 °F / 180 °C. CAUTION / WARNING: Metal handles get hot when in use, and stay hot as they cool down. ALWAYS use oven mitts or other appropriate protection.
