Hamilton Beach Quiet Shield Blender

À date le meilleur blender que j'ai acheté (c'est mon 5ème). Un peu encombrant (pour le ranger) mais sinon il mélange vraiment très bien et les smoothies sont onctueux. Si je devrais trouver UN seul défaut, c'est qu'il ne va pas forcément chercher les fruits qui sont tout en haut. Il y a une fonction de nettoyage, qui peut sembler un peu gadget (vu qu'on peut aussi nettoyer en fct smoothie). Il a une coque en plus pour qu'il soit moins bruyant, mais il est déjà moins bruyant que les autres mélangeurs que j'ai eus. Globalement je suis satisfaite de mon achat. Le rapport qualité-prix est parfait.

My son who is 12 did all the work as he wanted the smoothies and with the blender having the shield I felt safe with him using it and not painting the kitchen purple. He gets all of the ingredients in the blender and we figure out how to get the lid on properly as it must be lined up perfectly to fit the spout and seal. It does not have a tight seal and we were nervous about it coming off but once again there is the shield. Getting the blender cup in is a tad difficult with the shield. He pushed the smoothie button and I was quite surprised by it. I really thought like other blenders it would just be a speed of the blade but it was not. It's a actual setting where it stops, starts, changes speeds and shuts off when it is done. It did not get everything, but he had it full to the top. We scraped and stirred it and set it back in to get the last bit. There were no signs of ice in it, it was smooth like it is supposed to be. He then wanted to use the clean button so I rinsed it then added water and soap and he set it up and put it on the clean cycle. I guess it's just meant to clean the blades as it does not get the lid or all of the sides. I think it's a good blender compared to my old ones. Is it the best out there? Probably not.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My title says it all! I so love this Hamilton Beach Sound Shield 950! It is so easy to use and does not create loud noise unlike our old blender! I can do a lot on this new blender....my husband and I both love smoothies, crushed ice, milk shakes, puree and what have you! So glad to own one and to have this in our kitchen! I am so happy to have one! Thumb thumbs up!!! Would definitely recommend it!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this blender about a month ago and have had the opportunity to use on many occasions. I've chopped ice with it for a party and it did a fine job. I chopped carrots, celery and onions using it and it didn't turn them into mush. I use it everyday to make my protein shake for breakfast and I miss very pleased with it. The only negative I have is that it is very large and hard to store.

Lots of power. Like the sound shield. BUT - the top won't stay on when using, Never had this problem with my old blender. Company said they cannot do anything about this??? So must be a poor design? Is this why such a powerful blender has such a low price? If you don't mind the top popping up all the time you are using it, then it is a good deal.
