Grinder won't work

The grinder all of a sudden stopped working. It is 2 years old. I have cleaned it thoroughly but it still will not work. What should I do next? Who do I send it back to?

Disappointing

We bought this grinder after our old one died. It has been very disappointing to say the least. I have an espresso machine, but also enjoy coffee made in other formats so I need a grinder with different settings. Even on the finest grind setting, what comes out would be suitable for a French press, not an espresso machine. The beans look like they pass through too quickly to grind properly and what comes out is an inconsistent, too large grind. I haven’t had the issues with grind dust spewing everywhere so I guess there’s that. The only good thing about this grinder is how quiet it is. Would absolutely not recommend this grinder, unless you want to ruin your coffee experience.

Messy and Garbage.

Both failed. Unable to return either. When it did work, grinds would shoot out over a foot away from the hopper.

Le moulin fonctionne très bien mais le réceptacle n'est pas étanche ce qui occasionne du café partout sur le comptoir. Les photos présentées pour la vente de ce produit, ne représentent en aucun cas la réalité lors de son utilisation. Normalement Hamilton Beach a de bon produit mais pas celui-ci. pas très déçu mais extrêmement déçu de ce produit

Q: on the Hamilton beach coffee grinder should the lid be off or on the bottom container when grinding? I have been using it with the lid on and facing the correct way but it seems to spray out a lot of ground coffee on the sides of machine

A: seems to be a common thread with all these burr grinders not just this one they all spew coffee out the sides and they all have a bad record of burning out real fast I get what you are saying about having the lid on but just asked because of the coffee flying out but doesn't explain why they burn out so fast I have gone back to using a grinder with blades they seem to be more reliable too bad as I did like the idea of a burr grinder but like I said reviews of all the popular brands seen to be negative
