After only 2 months of infrequent use (2-3 times per week), the lever will no longer stay down on its own, so you have to hold it for the toaster to work.

Q: I asked about the one slice feature. The answer was only one element works. My toaster shuts off the center element after a certain time and the 2 outside elements remain on. Does it mean my toaster is not working correctly?
