Carburetors and choke valves in small engines are especially prone to gum, varnish, and dirt buildup due to infrequent use, but Gumout Small Engine Carb & Choke Cleaner can quickly remove such deposits. The treatment works to simultaneously clean from the inside and outside of the carburetor to improve engine performance and fuel economy.

Unfortunately, as it is unknown what condition your snowblower is in and what might be causing the poor running condition you noted it is difficult to provide context to a response where the Gumout Small Engine Carb & Choke Cleaner might not have been the correct option for repair to help with the poor performance of your snowblower. It is recommended to take your snowblower into place of purchase or your local service provider to inspect for correct course of action to repair.

missing straw

the product itself wirks as advertised, but ct seems to order without the spray straw's, c.c can't even say if it's with it or not , because it's not in the description. 🤦, wd40 has a straw & it's not in the description, so c.t c.c is lost. i can't even reach TWIGD, i had to leave a message because no one is answering the phone at their end in texas.

Worked after machine sat overnight

Although I used stabilizer in my snowblower before putting it away, it would not start this Fall. I sprayed this in the cylinder head. The blower started and immediately stopped. I removed the carburetor cover (not easy) and sprayed this Gumout into the carburetor through the butterfly. I did not want to remove and completely disassemble the carburetor to clean it. It tried to start it and again it ran momentarily. I then left the machine overnight. The next morning I tried starting it again, and voila, it started! I guess the Gumout did it's magic after sitting awhile.

Q: Can I use this to clean out carbon deposits from my EGR valve?

A: Hello Col_Chuckles. Thanks for your question on cleaning your EGR Valve with Gumout Small Engine Carb & Choke Cleaner. The deposits on an EGR Valve are typically carbon deposits duet to the exhaust gases that pass through the valve. In most cases to properly clean an EGR Valve it must be removed, and depending on the amount of baked on carbon deposits, you will have to manually scrape off as much carbon as you can, then use the aerosol cleaner to clean the remainder and reassemble the system. Q: Can you use this product for a carburetor on a propane generator ?

A: Hello Juan, thanks for the question. You did not specify if the carburettor you are cleaning is on the generator or has been removed for servicing. In either case, yes, you can use the Gumout Small Engine Carb & Choke Cleaner to clean the carburettor on your propane generator. If you are cleaning the carburettor on the unit, we would recommend that the unit not be running when you clean it and that you allow the fluid from the spray to evaporate off before restarting, as the deposited liquid may cause the unit to stall or backfire.
