Too expensive Very poor batteries

All I got was 2 seasons 5 months x 2... 10 Months
I have a 27" Lawn self mower, Chain saw Tree trimmer, Blower, Weed eater
It will cost me a lot to get out but my Neighbour has E GO (56V) much much better. I will switch soon . He lives right beside me so I have a direct comparison We switch yards to compare EGO cuts circles around mine Have to wait for batteries to cool before charging
No, I do not recommend this product.

Battery Life Questionable

I bought the Greenworks mower 3 years ago and it came with this battery. For the first 3 seasons the battery life was exceptional. I could cut my front and back lawns 90x200 lot along with my neighbours boulevard on a single charge. This year I can only do 3/4 of my front before the charge is gone. I stored the batteries inside over the winters and even tried resetting the battery by holding the charge button for over 30 seconds. No change. $300 is a lot for a replacement given the original cost of the mower with the battery. Just be aware that you may have to replace the battery after three years and keep the original as a spare.

The overall battery life is dependent on many factors such as where they have been stored, charged, and handled. A lithium-ion battery lifespan is determined by the charging and discharging cycles and is dependent on many different variables such as: storage, temperature, charge, and handling. A “normally” used 60V battery can last over 1000 cycles. A cycle means that the battery goes from fully charged to empty and then fully charged again. A battery is considered a consumable and over time may lose the ability to store the same amount of energy as it did at the beginning of its life cycle. In optimal conditions a 60V lithium-ion batteries typically have a lifespan of up to 2,000 charging and discharging cycles (1,000 with a rapid charger). A: Hello Greg, thank you for your question. Each voltage line (24V, 40V, 60V, and 80V) has a set of tools that are only interchangeable within their own voltage platform. Only Greenworks batteries, chargers, and machines of the same voltage are compatible and interchangeable with one another. So, yes this battery will work with your unit. the only exception is our 60V 8Ah battery model 2957102 cannot be used in the following tools: any 60V 12" Snow Shovel, any 60V 22" Snow Blower, any 60V Tiller/Cultivator, or any 60V machine that has a battery port door or lid.

Q: Has this battery been tested in -30°C and damp temperatures? I am wondering how it performs in snowstorms? Thanks.

A: Hello Jonathan1083 - Thank you for the question we're glad you asked. Cold Weather Operation: Lithium Ion batteries can be safely used from temperatures ranging from -17 degrees to 45 degrees Celsius. NOTE: Do not store or charge battery outside. Battery must be charged and stored indoors prior to use of the snow thrower. Battery may not properly start if it’s temperatures is -17˚C or lower. If unit does not start remove battery from snow thrower. Place battery on charger and allow to charge for 10 minutes to allow battery to warm. Remove from charger and install in Snow thrower for use.

A: Hello sissy - There are many possible scenarios that can affect the lifespan of a battery. In ideal conditions the battery has a charge and discharge cycle of up to 2000 life cycles.
