I have used it for about a month on some heavy invasives and it has cut well without jamming. The battery seems to last as advertised. I like the rotating handle/blade feature. So far so good.

This product is great. I was skeptical about the idea or a cordless electric unit but this unit great capacity. I also like the idea of the detachable battery. That way I can use it on a future GREENWORKS string trimmer that I plan to buy at some point.

Quality is heading south!

Corners were cut on this model. Cheap plastic partial blade protector for storage (my wired model completely wraps around and is hard plastic. Also, no rounded metal protector for end of blade. This is a big deal because it protects blade when working near the ground. Greenworks is selling out to cheap materials and trimming cost. 😞

Some noise underload is normal for battery-powered trimmers, and the double safety feature is designed to help prevent accidental starts and keep you safe while operating the tool. If you notice any excessive or inconsistent startup delay, here are some tips that may help: Ensure proper battery seating: Make sure the battery clicks securely into place. A loosely connected battery can cause intermittent power or startup issues. Check the handle position: The rear handle rotates for versatility, but it must be locked in a valid operating position for the trimmer to start. Inspect for obstructions: Debris, sap, or thick branches can jam the blades. If the motor senses an obstruction, it may temporarily prevent startup to protect the tool. Reset the tool: If the trimmer has been idle, removing and reinserting the battery can “power cycle” the system and clear temporary safety modes. These brief delays are typically part of the built-in safety features and are not a concern unless the unit fails to start altogether. A: The life of the battery will vary from customer to customer depending on use but the battery is protected with a 2 year warranty and hedge trimmer itself with a 4 year warranty. The replacement 24V lithium ion battery (060-2291) retails for $69.99 and can be purchased or ordered at any Canadian Tire store.
