Much Duller Than the Original Mulching Blade

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I switched from the original Greenworks mulching blade to this high-lift version expecting stronger suction and better bagging, but the difference in sharpness was obvious right away. The mulching blade was much sharper and gave cleaner cuts, while this one feels dull straight out of the box. It still works, but the grass looks torn rather than cleanly cut, and overall performance is below expectations. It would be a great product if it came pre-sharpened like the mulching blade.
    ProsDurable

No, I do not recommend this product.

Hello Pierre Y. Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback and for comparing the high-lift blade to the original mulching blade. The high-lift blade is designed to improve bagging performance by increasing airflow and suction, which can sometimes make it appear less sharp than the mulching blade that is optimized for finer cuts. New mower blades often have a protective coating applied to prevent rust and corrosion during storage and transportation, especially in humid environments. This is a common characteristic of many new mower blades, including those from Greenworks. We recommend sharpening or replacing blades at least once per season or more often if needed as a dull blade can result in ragged cuts or reduced performance. We truly appreciate your feedback and will share your comments with our product team as we continue working to enhance our blade design and quality.
