This is the first year we had to prune our fruit trees, so did it in the dormant phase. We were told by a local gardener to purchase this product to "seal off" the ends of the pruned branches, as it stops damage and helps the trees heal. This year, we have noticed that when we used the product, the tree branch did not die as much as we thought it would, so only time will tell if we should keep using this product
