A: The scent of the BONE MEAL in this product will likely attract carnivores such as dogs, cats, racoons, rats, weasels, etc., that naturally consume bones in their predatory diets. It won't be harmful per se, but other items in your compost might be harmful, if ingested along with the compost accelerator.

A: The Green Earth compost accelerator is not poisonous, the formulation for this product is comprised of all natural ingredients both mined and food grade sources. One of the ingredients in the mix is bone meal which could possibly attract dogs to it, however bone meal is used as filler in most dog foods so there isn't really any concern. Also it should be noted that due to its list of ingredients and the sources of which they are derived from this product does not carry any regulatory requirements and is considered to be safe when used in accordance with the label and directions.

A: Hello Tatiana, Thank you for your question. Compost accelerators (which can also be called compost activators or compost starters) are concentrated fungi and bacteria packages. Speed up the natural composting process. Contains concentrated Enzymes and natural nutrients needed to break down organic matter such as leaves, grass clippings, kitchen waste into rich usable humas.
