A: Its 17.5" between the arm rests and 18" deep. Also from the ground to the seat it's 17.5". I made a boo-boo on the edited image I included in my review. I didn't extend the arrow to the top of the seat. I put it to the bottom... Oops, my bad.

Q: Was Canadian Tire supposed to provide the plug inserts for the chairs. The plugs were not included.

A: I was unaware of any plugs and that they were required. I use these chairs for a commercial patio. They are great !!

Q: I have noticed that a few people have asked abut the holes at the top of the legs. The responses seem to reference the foot pads at the bottom of the legs. I have the foot pads but still wonder about the holes. Can they be plugged?

A: With regards to the holes at the top of the rear legs, no action is necessary to fill them. The 4 chair legs are hollow and require use of the chair plugs (foot pads) as provided to prevent the chair from sinking into earthen and grassy areas. Thank you for your inquiry.

Q: I noticed that there is an opening at the top of each legs. Is that there for a purpose? Should it be used to fill the hollow legs with sand for extra sturdyness?

A: Hello and thank you for your inquiry. It sounds like the foot inserts are missing. The legs should not be filled with sand. Q: Regarding the bottom pads, I purchased these chairs yesterday but staff were unable to locate any with the pad inserts. I contacted the email address given for parts, however Gracious Living says this is not their product. Now what or who rather? Thanks!
