Q: Are these hand warmers reusable if you are doing short walks of 1 hour can they be put into a resealable bag air tight and reused for another couple of hours to max of 7 hours

A: Yes, they are reusable! I use them to shovel snow, may only be out side 1/2 to one hour. Place them in a SEALED bag. I have re-used four times, as long as it isn't a long time between uses. May not get as hot as first use When the contents are solid, done!

Q: How long do these last unopened? How long until they expire?

A: In early January 2022 I found an old unopened 10 pack in storage, that had an expiry date of November 2016. I opened one just to see how it would fair. I got about 90 minutes of use at what I am guessing is about 80% of the normal heat produced. These obviously work well past their expiry date. They just don't work to the same potency.

A: FROM THE MANUFACTURERS WEBSITE: 7.How do Grabber Warmers work? Warmers operate on a chemical reaction with air similar to rusting. The warmer ingredients are iron, water, cellulose, vermiculite, activated carbon and salt. The heating process takes place in this fashion: The iron in the pouch, when exposed to oxygen, oxidizes and therefore produces heat (aka, "Air Activated"). When iron oxidizes it produces iron oxide, more commonly referred to as rust. The salt acts as a catalyst. The carbon helps disperse the heat. The vermiculite is used as an insulator for the purpose of retaining the heat and the cellulose is added as a filler. All of these ingredients are surrounded by a polypropylene bag. Polypropylene allows air to permeate the ingredients while holding in moisture.

A: It might get a bit hot but no harm in trying. You can even rotate where they go. I use them under my gloves when working outside at below zero.
