Used it for picking garbage at the local park. The trigger mechanism was awful and would get stuck when clasped. The lock that holds it straight never stayed in place. The plastic hinge where it folds broke apart after a couple hours of work rendering it unusable. Very cheaply made and fragile.
No, I do not recommend this product.

No Senior Should Be Without ...

Why slip or fall off a step stool when this handy device is equally as effective? No more bending or reaching that top shelf with this wonderful invention. BUT do check the screws that hold on the suction cups. They tend to come loose periodically so tighten them up with a star shaped screw driver.

Strange but great

I mocked my mom for buying this thing as it appeared like a scam. I must admit, it is a great tool.
Easy to use - doesn't require brut force and can pick up "heavy" items - like full tin cans. Seems lightweight at first but is quite useful and easily stores. Great for reaching high kitchen cabinets.

Efficient and perfect length garbage pick up tool

This is a great tool for picking up garbage. It is long enough to reach the ground to pick up garbage, but not so long that you can't then deposit the garbage in a bag that you're holding in your other hand.
The lock mechanism in the middle of the device is mislabeled, so when it says "Push to Unlock" it really means "Push to Lock". This is figured out pretty easily though!
Nice that it folds up into half of it's size. If enough people took these on a walk like I've seen some people in Charleswood do, Winnipeg (and any city) would be MUCH cleaner places to live in.
Do your community a favour and buy one of these and turn your daily walk into something that benefits all around you!

A: Maximum lifting capacity of the reaching tool is 1.8 kg/3.9 lbs, however you should use caution when lifting objects (especially overhead) as product is dependent on your grip strength.
