Height was great but not made for all rain barrels

This was the only available stand for my rain barrel, also purchased at CT earlier, but was not one of the barrels shown on the packaging.
Although the barrel sat on top fairly well, it was not satisfactory for me. In addition, I would have to make more modifications to my downspouts to accommodate the height. Not worth the effort but will definitely miss the option of using the lower bib on the barrel to ensure all the water is used.

The base holds the barrel firmly in place. The material appears of solid quality. It's sitting on a bed of river gravel. I'm curious to see how it weathers on the North Bruce Peninsula.

A: Yes, it is about 8-9 inches high. Just makes it easier to slip a watering can under the tap.

Q: How come 3 people have asked for the height of this item and 2 people have been told about 15 inches, 1 person was told around 11 inches, and the specifications say around 17 inches???
