    Doesn't work returned both

    The wiring diagram on manufacturer web site and accompanying video didn't make sense. I'm no electrician , but I know how to wire a 3 way switch correctly and that isn't how it works. I tried it their way .. no luck. I tried it the right way ,, no luck. I bought a tplink switch and worked right away. The video almost looked like it was made by screwed up Ai.

    these are terrible. I have other globe suite bulbs and smart plugs that are awesome. but these switches are trash. they turn off randomly and over the years with a scattered firmware update they only got worse to the point they wouldn't keep the lights on for any more than 5 or 10 seconds. switched to wiz instead

    I have had 3 of these for 2 years. Got an electrician to install them, as they are not wired like typical 3-way switches. They work well, except for randomly turning themselves off periodically. This has gotten much worse since I updated their firmware a couple of weeks ago, to the point where they are pretty annoying. Not an automation problem. I have ‘smart scenes’ off for 2 of the 3 right now. Do not buy!

    No, I do not recommend this product.

    • A: Thank you for your inquiry, this is usually used to operate other smart lights or recessed lighting kits. However if this meets your spec requirements it should still operate as intended.

    Q: Will it work for just one light? I couldn't find a single one. Also when I did try to install it, it wouldn't fit inside the metal utility box. Is there a specific box size that I would need to get?

    • A: Hi Sharon, thank you for your inquiry. This will work for just one light, it may be recommended to contact an electrician for installation as this is a 3-way smart switch. This should fit any standard outlet.

    Q: I have some lights that are controlled by two switches, so 3-way switches. If I install a smart 3-way switch to control this light, do I need to install a smart switch at both ends. I don't think so but double checking.
