It's hefty.

This thing is hefty. Probably one of my most sturdy fixed blade knives in this size blade that I have. I have the strong arm as well and while I like the full tang of the strong arm the blade on the LMF II is a lot more robust. I'd say it's as least as thick as my SOG KIKU. Of the two I two, especially for the price, I would choose the LMF II.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Ok knife

Ok knife I guess. Ive used it twice. Just cutting down a couple 1/2 inch branches. And it’s already got a significant chip in the blade. Also it says it comes with a sharpener but doesn’t. Was hoping to sharpen the chip out. But I’m going to have to wait until I get home and get my whet stone I guess

No, I do not recommend this product.

Customer Service
Hi! The LMF II Infantry has a blade sharpener located on the sheath. You have to remove the MOLLE strap to fully access it.

Impressive knife

I just got this knife a few days ago. It seems to be heavy duty and well constructed. The knife arrived without defects and came sharpened good. The only negative thing I can say is that the leg straps are kind of small. I am 5 feet 10 inches tall and weigh 140 pounds. And the leg straps are barely big enough to go around my thigh. Other than that, this is a perfect knife.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Cuts through a 1” branch when I swing it

Love this knife . I use it likely in a more rugged manner than most and it’s made for it. If you’re looking to make peanut butter sandwiches and occasionally go for walks in the woods near your house, this isn’t the knife for you.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: On the Gerber website it shows this knife is produced in a couple different color options, are these available at Canadian Tire or just the black?

  • A: Thus far,I have only seen it available in black at Canadian Tire;but basic black is good in a situation (such as mass citizen unrest,or the Apocalypse) where remaining hidden is prefered. I own a black one,and it's a very sleek and masculine-looking knife.
