General® International Hollow Chisel Mortiser features a 0.5 HP, 110V, 1Ph, 6A fully enclosed fan-cooled motor with start capacitor for smooth start-up and longer running life and works with a spindle speed of 1720 RPM

Heavy-duty cast-iron head, column and base were built for steady, vibration-free performance and the large table with telescopic extensions provides enhanced work piece support

The large feed handle (left or right mount) with multi-position arm allows for better leverage and feed control while the head slides on precision machined cast-iron dovetail ways

The stroke is controlled by a gas head-cylinder for smooth operation and a dual depth stop provides complete control of both down stroke depth and upstroke travel

A dust-protected switch with large mushroom style stop button and lock-out safety feature prevents unintentional start-up

Includes an adjustable work piece stop and hold-down, adapter bushings to accommodate both 5/8"(16 mm) and 3/4" (19 mm) sized chisel shanks and non-marking rubber table rollers that hold the work piece firmly to the fence
