Keeps shutting off during use even with fresh batteries

Been using this for a while now and maybe after the first two uses at home only doing seasonal tire changes, it keeps shutting off as you are torquing your wheel lug nuts. Very frustrating. Keep having to turn it back on while tightening the lugs slowly. Checked voltage on new AA batteries (uses 2) and they are great but I put in new batteries and still same issue. It’s consistently occurring since it first occurred after my first or second seasonal tire change. My Motomaster Maximum has been working for decades with no issues but had decided to buy a digital torque wrench and this model was a mistake. On the plus side, the beeping is nice and loud whereas my older Motomaster torque wrenches are too quiet and very hard to hear the “click”

No, I do not recommend this product.

BAD BAD Torque wrench

I purchased both the 3/8 and 1/4 drive version of this torque wrench and I've never wanted to throw a tool through a window so much in my life. I am not even the type to sit down and write a review , but I felt so compelled to stop any mechanic from making such a poor financial decision. These are the most unuseable electronic torque wrench in the industry. I have many as a shop owner and I supply tools for my techs, and I'm here to tell you not to waste your time. The electronics are so poorly executed. For one if you're trying to get on a tough fastener or injector hold down etc.. the torque wrench will shut off before you get it on there. The adjustment on it is a joke. You start going up in tenths then it will jump to whole lbs then 10lbs and you will run back and forth missing the torque spec you're trying to set it at every time. Not to mention if you forget to hit the set button. As far as I can tell there are no memory settings which is frustrating. Perhaps the worst bit about it is using it. Lets say you have an injector hold down at 89in lbs. You pull nice and slow and it starts vibrating at say 87 in lb. You keep pulling slower and you think man when is it going to get there, so you let off and start your pull again only to find that you are way past your torque. Getting my money back on these would not be enough to cover the headache and again disappointment. On top of that , where do you even get these crappy tools warrantied? Allow me to re-iterate. >>>>DO NOT BUY THESE<<<< They don't work!

No, I do not recommend this product.
