Caulk yellowed over time
a month ago
After a few months (less than 6), the caulk started to yellow very significantly in my all white tiled shower! So disappointed! It has only yellowed where it has the most exposure to water. It is still a nice bright white in other parts of the shower surround (see pics for comparison). Looks awful! I’m going to trying bleaching to see if this will correct the discoloration.

The previous silicone sealant I used did not adhere to the plastic shower enclosure, it just peeled off. This product worked as advertised.

This is my second time buying it as my first one expired in 2024 and was no longer coming out. This is definitely a good one to use in kitchen/bathrooms. Might as well use it around the house cause chances are it will go bad before you need it again for another project!

Q: is this product suitable for continuous use under water as in an outdoor fountain and does it adhere to concrete since the fountain is made of concrete and finally what is the clean up used for silicone ?

A: It's meant for indoors on non-porous surfaces like sinks/tubs, so I'm not sure how well it would adhere to concrete. With only occasional contact with water in a sink or shower it does degrade and need replacing, so I can't imagine it would last long under water. As for clean-up, while it's still wet you can use rubbing alcohol, otherwise it's easier to let it dry and then scrape off the excess with a flat blade. You probably want to look for a different product, maybe one that's meant for use in aquariums? good luck!

Q: would this caulk work for bathroom betweem tiles and acrilic bathtub? if not what wuld you recommend? thanks!

A: Product # 67-0822 is an ideal product for this application. This K/B Supreme Silicone remains flexible, shrink proof and crack proof. Adheres to tile, laminate, glass, plastic/fiberglass, metal and granite. Please be sure to clean both surfaces prior to application. This can be done with warm water and vinegar or mineral spirits followed by wipe down with warm water only.
